Over 33 years of experience in designing electrical systems for many types of projects. He prepares contract drawings and specifications for lighting, lighting control, power distribution and fire alarm for commercial and institutional construction projects. John is proficient in new lighting design technologies and is an expert in evaluating existing electrical installations and providing new design to meet current owner requirements and energy code requirements.
John graduated from Yale University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He is currently registered as a Professional Engineer in (17) States.
Vince Ruscetta graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his college summers, he gained hands-on experience working for his family’s HVAC company, where he was involved in installing ductwork, piping, air handling units (AHUs), and boilers. This field experience has proven to be one of the most valuable learning opportunities of his career, providing him with a practical understanding of the trade that he applies to every design project. Vince takes pride in approaching each project from the perspective of an installer, ensuring that his designs are thoroughly thought-out, efficient, and constructible.
With over 18 years of experience, Vince has been an integral part of the Mechanical Engineering team, specializing in building system analysis, project coordination and management, and engineering design. Over the last eight years, he has served as the lead project engineer/manager for facility renovations, tenant improvements, and new construction projects for prominent clients such as Denver and Jeffco Public Schools, Lumen/CenturyLink, Brookfield Properties, Denver Energy Center, and Fitzsimons Medical Campus.
Currently, Vince is the Vice President, Mechanical Department Head, and a Principal Partner at Columbine Engineering. Much of his work with the aforementioned clients is as the Prime Consultant, meaning that Columbine Engineering is directly contracted by the client. In his role as project manager, Vince oversees sub-consultants, manages design schedules, coordinates design meetings, leads owner meetings, handles RFPs, oversees contractor bidding, and manages consultant construction administration activities.
After serving in the United States Navy, Mr. Furrow earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in CAD Technology from the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona. With 25 years in consulting, he has dedicated the last 20 years to mechanical and plumbing design, as well as project management. His expertise spans retail, commercial, healthcare, and foodservice industries, with a portfolio ranging from small renovations to large-scale, multistory commercial facilities.
Mr. Furrow has played a key role in designing mechanical and plumbing systems while overseeing projects from design development through construction administration. His comprehensive experience and commitment to excellence ensure efficient, high-quality solutions tailored to each project's unique demands.
Travis Eldridge has been involved the consulting engineering business for more than 20 years. After several years of mechanical drafting and design, he acquired a degree in computer network engineering. After completing his degree, he changed roles and became the director of information technology within the consulting engineering industry managing information, network, computer and server administration. Currently Travis serves as a designer, drafter and network administrator for Columbine Engineering Inc. In his free time Travis spends time with his family doing a variety of outdoor activities such as, snowboarding, golf, hiking and frisbee golf.
Mr. Storms has been in the electrical consulting business for 40 years. His experience includes power and lighting design, lighting control systems, distribution, and emergency backup systems. His experience also encompasses all areas of remodel, renovation, expansion, and new construction with the expertise in corporate office improvements, hotel and casino design, restaurants, parking garages, riverboat gaming facilities, petroleum facilities, multi-family and multi-use projects.
