Columbine Engineering designed the boiler replacement of the old cast iron sectional boilers with new high efficiency condensing boilers. The project consisted of installing (3) new Riello Array boilers, (2) secondary pumps, expansion tanks, air/dirt separator, all new piping within the boiler room, and a full system balance. The new boilers offer built in redundancy and up to a 98% operating efficiency.
Columbine Engineering also provided MEP services for the classroom addition at Bell MS. The addition consisted of (4) new science classrooms, as well as renovations throughout the school. A lighting upgrade in all classrooms was also part of this project.
Columbine Engineering provided M&E design services for the replacement of the air cooled chiller at Drake MS. The project consisted of new air cooled chiller, glycol feeder, pump and piping.
Columbine Engineering provided M&E design services for the replacement of the air cooled chiller at Golden HS. This project consisted of installing a new magnetic bearing air cooled chiller manufactured by Smardt Chillers. This was the first Smardt Chiller of its kind in the State of Colorado, and will provide high efficiency and low maintenance for the School District for years to come.
