Columbine Engineering is a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Consulting Firm that was founded at the beginning of 2017 to provide exceptional engineering services. The company consists of eight full-time engineers and designers who have over 190 years of consulting experience. Our experience enables Columbine to provide clients with expertise and knowledge to provide comprehensive contract documents and a clear project scope. The Electrical Staff consists of three employees who all have over 25 years of experience in the industry and the Mechanical/Plumbing Staff consists of five employees who all have 12 to 30 years of experience in the industry. Two of the staff members are registered Lighting Professionals (LC), one staff member is a LEED AP Professional and one staff member is a
licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states.Columbine’s work, ranges anywhere from large commercial projects to small tenant finishes. Our clientele consists of property managers/owners, architects, corporations, building managers and design build contractors. Columbine Engineering is committed to meeting all project deadlines. We understand that the needs of our clients may not always fall within the standard working hours. We will make ourselves available to be contacted during non-business hours to help address emergency issues which may arise.
Mr. Aluise has more than 25 years’ experience in mechanical engineering design for large commercial and industrial facilities. Paul’s skills includes the design of HVAC and associated Control Systems, while acting as the client leader to CenturyLink for the last 15 years. He manages a strong mechanical and electrical team to provide the desired services for an industry with rapidly changing technology.
Mr. Pumphrey has been in the consulting business for 33 years. He has specialized in electrical design and project management for the last 19 years. His experience includes power and lighting design, lighting control systems, distribution, and emergency backup systems. His experience also encompasses all areas of remodel, renovation, expansion, and new construction with the bulk of his expertise in corporate office improvements. Over the last five years Brett has been directly responsible for the electrical improvements to over 5,000,000sf of tenant space through Denver and the Front Range.
Mr. Lang has over 27 years of experience in designing electrical systems for many types of projects including Build to Suite Office Buildings in Denver and along the Colorado Front Range. He prepares contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, communications, sound, and security systems for commercial and institutional construction projects. Mr. Lang has designed over 1,000,000 square feet of new office and mixed-use development in the last five (5) years.
Ms. Gish has been involved in a diverse range of work within the architectural and engineering field for the last 36 years. Her expertise includes completing working drawings for Tenant Improvements from the preliminary stage through documents ready for construction. She is experienced in coordination of large and small tenant finishes, field surveys, construction documents, and contract administration services. Over the last fifteen years Kathy has been directly responsible for the mechanical and plumbing improvements to over 5,000,000sf of tenant space through Denver and the Front Range.
Vince Ruscetta graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Ruscetta is the lead project engineer/manager for many of Columbine Engineering’s projects in facility renovation and new construction for clients, including CenturyLink, AT&T, Denver and Jeffco Public Schools, Brookfield Properties, Denver Energy Center and Fitzsimmons Medical Innovation Campus.
While not at work Vince enjoys time with his wife and dog. Most weekends you’ll find Vince in his workshop working on his latest woodworking project. Vince also enjoys golfing and bird hunting.
Travis Eldridge has been involved the consulting engineering business for more than 20 years. After several years of mechanical drafting and design, he acquired a degree in computer network engineering. After completing his degree, he changed roles and became the director of information technology within the consulting engineering industry managing information, network, computer and server administration. Currently Travis serves as a designer, drafter and network administrator for Columbine Engineering Inc.
In his free time Travis spends time with his family doing a variety of outdoor activities such as, snowboarding, golf, hiking and frisbee golf.
Mr. Storms has been in the electrical consulting business for 34 years. His experience includes power and lighting design, lighting control systems, distribution, and emergency backup systems. His experience also encompasses all areas of remodel, renovation, expansion, and new construction with the expertise in corporate office improvements, hotel and casino design, restaurants, parking garages, riverboat gaming facilities, petroleum facilities, multi-family and multi-use projects.
After serving in the United States Navy, Mr. Furrow has been in the consulting business for 20 years. He has focused on mechanical and plumbing design along with project management for the last 15 years. His design experience entails retail, commercial, healthcare and foodservice projects. His experience encompasses small remodels thru multistory commercial facilities. He has been responsible for the design of mechanical and plumbing systems as well as the management of projects from design development thru construction administration.
Josh Blauser graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his summers in college, Josh worked for a MEP engineering firm as a Mechanical Engineer Intern, setting him up for a career in the HVAC industry. Josh also has professional engineering experience in multiple other industries since graduating. These industries include Construction, Energy/Oil & Gas, and Automotive. Through these experiences he has developed a diverse knowledge of engineering practice and professionalism that can be directly applied to the HVAC industry.
